Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: June 11, 2026
Welcome to Drift House. These Terms & Conditions explain how orders, payments, cancellations, deliveries, and customer responsibilities work when purchasing prepared meals, provisions, catering, or related services from Drift House.
By placing an order, submitting an inquiry, paying a deposit, or using this website, you agree to the terms below.
1. Overview
Drift House is a California-based prepared meal and catering service offering pre-ordered meal drops, provisions, and small-event food packages.
All orders are subject to availability, confirmation, and acceptance by Drift House. Submitting an inquiry or order request does not guarantee that an order is confirmed.
2. Orders & Confirmation
Orders are not final until confirmed by Drift House in writing by email, text, invoice, or other written communication.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate order details, including delivery date, delivery address, guest count, dietary restrictions, allergies, contact information, and any access instructions.
Drift House reserves the right to decline, modify, or cancel any order request based on availability, scheduling, sourcing, delivery limitations, or other business needs.
3. Pricing & Payment
Prices are subject to change based on menu selection, guest count, seasonality, ingredient availability, delivery location, and scope of service.
A deposit or full payment may be required to reserve an order date. Orders are not guaranteed until the required deposit or payment has been received.
Final payment is due before delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Deposits
Deposits may be required for custom orders, larger orders, weekend packages, holiday orders, or catering-style meal drops.
Deposits are used to reserve the order date, begin planning, and secure ingredients or supplies. Deposits may be partially or fully non-refundable depending on the timing of cancellation and costs already incurred.
5. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellations must be submitted in writing.
Cancellations made more than 7 days before the scheduled delivery date may be eligible for a partial refund, minus any planning costs, sourcing costs, processing fees, or other expenses already incurred.
Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled delivery date may be non-refundable due to ingredients, labor, packaging, and preparation already committed.
Rescheduling requests are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
6. Refunds
Because Drift House prepares custom, perishable food orders, refunds are not guaranteed once ingredients have been purchased or preparation has begun.
If there is an issue with an order, the customer must contact Drift House within 24 hours of delivery. Drift House may, at its discretion, offer a replacement, credit, partial refund, or other resolution.
Refunds will not be issued for issues caused by incorrect customer information, missed delivery, improper storage, delayed refrigeration, reheating errors, third-party handling, or changes made after delivery.
7. Delivery & Pickup
Delivery windows are estimates and may be affected by traffic, parking, weather, access limitations, or other conditions outside of Drift House’s control.
Customers are responsible for providing clear and accurate delivery instructions, including address, gate codes, dock or slip information, parking/loading details, contact person, and any special access requirements.
If no one is available to receive the order at the agreed delivery time and location, Drift House may leave the order at the agreed location or consider the delivery complete.
Once an order has been delivered or picked up, the customer is responsible for proper storage, handling, reheating, and service.
8. Food Storage & Safety
Food should be refrigerated promptly unless it is intended to be served immediately.
Customers are responsible for maintaining safe food temperatures after delivery or pickup. Drift House is not responsible for food quality or safety issues caused by improper storage, delayed refrigeration, improper reheating, extended time at room temperature, transportation after delivery, or customer handling.
Any reheating, serving, or storage instructions provided by Drift House should be followed carefully.
9. Allergies & Dietary Restrictions
Customers are responsible for disclosing all allergies, dietary restrictions, and food sensitivities before placing an order.
Drift House makes reasonable efforts to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions when disclosed in advance. However, food may be prepared in a shared kitchen space where common allergens may be present, including milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy, sesame, and other allergens.
Drift House cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
Customers with severe allergies should use caution before ordering.
10. Menu Changes & Substitutions
Menus may change based on seasonality, ingredient availability, supplier issues, product quality, or other factors.
Drift House reserves the right to substitute ingredients, menu items, packaging, or presentation elements with comparable alternatives when necessary.
11. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information related to the order.
This includes guest count, delivery location, delivery timing, access instructions, allergies, dietary restrictions, event details, serving time, and contact information.
Drift House is not responsible for delays, missed deliveries, spoilage, or service issues caused by inaccurate or incomplete customer information.
12. Photos, Reviews & Marketing
Drift House may photograph food, packaging, or setup for marketing, website, or social media purposes.
Drift House will not publish private customer names, addresses, guests, or identifying event details without permission.
Customer reviews, testimonials, or feedback may be used for marketing purposes only when allowed by law and without misleading edits.
13. Website Content
All website content, including menus, photos, descriptions, branding, copy, and design elements, belongs to Drift House unless otherwise stated.
Customers and visitors may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use Drift House content for commercial purposes without written permission.
Website information may occasionally contain errors, outdated pricing, or incomplete details. Drift House reserves the right to correct errors and update information at any time.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Drift House is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
Drift House is not responsible for issues caused by improper customer handling, delayed refrigeration, improper reheating, third-party venues, unsafe delivery conditions, inaccurate customer information, weather, traffic, or events outside of Drift House’s control.
15. Refusal of Service
Drift House reserves the right to refuse service, cancel an order, or decline a request for any lawful reason, including unsafe delivery conditions, unavailable dates, inappropriate customer conduct, non-payment, inaccurate information, or requests outside the scope of services offered.
16. Changes to These Terms
Drift House may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The updated version will be posted on this website with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Client Order & Service Agreement
Last Updated: June 11, 2026
This Order Policy applies to Drift House meal drops, prepared food orders, weekend packages, vessel orders, custom menus, catering-style orders, and any other pre-ordered food services.
By placing an order, submitting a deposit, accepting delivery, or receiving food from Drift House, the customer agrees to the terms below.
1. Order Confirmation
Submitting an inquiry, discussing a menu, receiving an estimate, or requesting a date does not confirm an order.
An order is not confirmed until Drift House has accepted the order and received the required deposit or full payment.
Once an order is confirmed, Drift House may begin planning, sourcing, purchasing ingredients, preparing packaging, reserving time, and scheduling labor.
Drift House reserves the right to decline or cancel any order request based on availability, scheduling, menu feasibility, delivery location, access, safety, or scope of service.
2. Customer Information Required
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information before the order is confirmed.
This may include:
Name
Phone number
Email address
Delivery or pickup location
Preferred date and time
Guest count
Menu preferences
Allergy and dietary information
Serving time
Access instructions
Parking instructions
Building, dock, marina, vessel, gate, or security information
Any special order notes
Drift House is not responsible for delays, missed deliveries, spoilage, food quality issues, or service issues caused by inaccurate, incomplete, or last-minute customer information.
3. Pricing
Final pricing depends on the order details, including menu, guest count, delivery location, packaging, timing, special sourcing, returnable wares, and service needs.
Starting prices, estimates, or sample package pricing are not final quotes unless confirmed by Drift House in writing.
Delivery, tax, returnable wares deposits, premium upgrades, special sourcing, return pickup, and additional services may be charged separately unless otherwise stated in writing.
Any required fees will be disclosed before the order is confirmed.
4. Deposit Requirement
A deposit may be required to confirm an order and reserve the requested date.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Drift House requires a 50% deposit at the time of order confirmation.
The deposit is applied toward the final order total.
An order date is not reserved until the required deposit has been received.
5. What the Order Deposit Covers
The order deposit allows Drift House to begin planning and preparing for the order.
This may include:
Reserving the order date
Menu planning
Ingredient sourcing
Ingredient purchasing
Packaging
Scheduling
Administrative time
Preparation labor
Special requests
Custom sourcing
Because Drift House prepares custom and perishable food orders, deposits may become partially or fully non-refundable once planning, sourcing, purchasing, or preparation has begun.
6. Final Payment
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the remaining balance is due no later than 48 hours before delivery or pickup.
Drift House may pause, cancel, or refuse to release an order if final payment has not been received by the agreed deadline.
For larger orders, holiday weekends, multi-day packages, custom menus, vessel orders, or orders requiring special sourcing, Drift House may require full payment earlier than 48 hours before delivery or pickup.
7. Changes to an Order
Changes to guest count, menu, delivery location, pickup time, packaging, dietary needs, or service details may affect the final price.
All changes are subject to availability and must be approved by Drift House.
If the final order total increases after the deposit has been paid, the remaining balance will be adjusted accordingly.
If the customer reduces the order size after confirmation, the deposit may not be reduced if planning, sourcing, purchasing, or preparation has already begun.
Last-minute changes may not be possible once ingredients have been purchased or preparation has begun.
8. Cancellations
Cancellations must be submitted in writing.
Cancellations made more than 7 days before delivery or pickup may be eligible for a partial refund of the deposit, minus any planning costs, transaction fees, sourcing costs, ingredients, packaging, specialty items, administrative time, or other expenses already incurred.
Cancellations made within 7 days of delivery or pickup may result in partial or full forfeiture of the deposit.
Cancellations made within 72 hours of delivery or pickup are non-refundable.
Same-day cancellations are non-refundable, and the full order total may still be due.
9. Rescheduling
Rescheduling requests are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
If an order is rescheduled more than 7 days before delivery or pickup, the deposit may be transferred to the new date at Drift House’s discretion.
If an order is rescheduled within 72 hours of delivery or pickup, additional fees may apply due to ingredients, labor, packaging, and preparation already committed.
Weather, traffic, vessel movement, marina access, venue restrictions, parking issues, or customer location changes do not automatically qualify an order for a refund.
10. Delivery Charges
Delivery charges may apply in addition to the food order total.
Delivery charges are based on factors including distance, travel time, order size, delivery location, parking, marina or dock access, scheduling, and any special delivery requirements.
Any delivery charge will be provided before the order is confirmed.
11. Standard Delivery
Standard delivery includes transport of the order to the agreed delivery location.
Standard delivery does not include setup, plating, service, cleanup, return pickup, extended wait time, or on-site assistance unless specifically agreed in writing.
Additional services may be available for an additional fee.
12. Delivery Access
Customers are responsible for providing clear, accurate delivery instructions and reasonable access to the delivery location.
Additional charges may apply for:
Paid parking
Valet fees
Marina access fees
Dock or harbor access issues
Long walking distance from parking to delivery point
Loading dock delays
Gate or security delays
Difficult access
Excessive stairs
Extended wait time
Failed delivery attempts
Last-minute location changes
If Drift House arrives at the agreed delivery location and cannot complete the delivery due to incorrect information, restricted access, unavailable contact person, vessel movement, unsafe conditions, or customer delay, the order may still be considered delivered and billable.
Additional fees may apply for a second delivery attempt or extended wait time.
13. Delivery Windows
Delivery times are scheduled as estimated windows.
Drift House will make reasonable efforts to deliver within the agreed delivery window. However, delivery may be affected by traffic, parking, weather, marina access, vessel movement, security restrictions, or other circumstances outside of Drift House’s control.
An exact delivery time is not guaranteed unless specifically agreed in writing.
14. Wait Time
If Drift House is delayed at the delivery location because the customer, contact person, venue, marina, dock, or vessel is not ready or accessible, additional wait time fees may apply.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, wait time beyond 15 minutes may be billed at a rate of $[amount] per 15 minutes.
15. Delivery Completion
Delivery is considered complete once the order is delivered to the agreed location, handed to the customer or approved contact person, or left at the agreed drop-off location.
After delivery is complete, the customer is responsible for proper food storage, refrigeration, reheating, handling, and service.
16. Returnable Wares and Containers
Some Drift House orders may include reusable plates, bowls, serving pieces, storage containers, lids, trays, bins, insulated bags, ice packs, serving utensils, or other returnable items.
These items remain the property of Drift House unless otherwise stated in writing.
By accepting an order that includes returnable wares or containers, the customer agrees to return all items in good condition by the agreed return deadline.
17. Customer Responsibility for Returnable Items
Once the order is delivered or picked up, the customer is responsible for all returnable items until they are returned to Drift House.
Items must be returned clean enough for transport, reasonably rinsed or scraped, and free of excessive food waste.
Items must be returned in the same general condition in which they were provided, normal wear excepted.
18. Return Deadline
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all returnable items must be returned or made available for pickup within 48 hours of delivery.
Late returns may result in additional fees.
Items not returned within 7 days may be considered lost and billed at full replacement cost.
19. Missing, Damaged, or Unreturned Items
Customers will be charged for any returnable items that are missing, broken, damaged, heavily stained, discarded, or not returned by the agreed deadline.
Replacement fees may include the cost of the item, shipping, replacement time, and any additional costs required to replace the item.
If a returnable wares deposit was collected, Drift House may deduct replacement fees, cleaning fees, late fees, or pickup fees from the deposit.
If replacement fees exceed the deposit amount, the customer is responsible for paying the remaining balance.
20. Returnable Wares Deposit
Drift House may require a separate returnable wares deposit for orders that include reusable plates, serving pieces, storage containers, bins, insulated bags, or other returnable items.
This deposit is separate from the order deposit unless otherwise stated in writing.
The returnable wares deposit may be refunded after all returnable items are returned on time and in acceptable condition.
21. Return Pickup
Return pickup is not included in standard delivery unless agreed in writing.
Return pickup may be subject to an additional fee.
Customers are responsible for making returnable items available for pickup at the agreed location and time.
If Drift House arrives for a scheduled pickup and the items are not available, an additional pickup fee may apply.
Customers remain responsible for all returnable items until they are returned to Drift House.
22. Food Storage and Handling After Delivery
Once an order has been delivered, picked up, handed to the customer, handed to an approved contact person, or left at the agreed location, the customer is responsible for proper food storage, refrigeration, reheating, handling, and service.
Prepared food should be refrigerated promptly unless it is intended to be served immediately.
Drift House is not responsible for food quality or safety issues caused by delayed refrigeration, improper storage, improper reheating, extended time at room temperature, customer transportation after delivery, third-party handling, outdoor exposure, or failure to follow provided instructions.
23. Allergies and Dietary Restrictions
Customers are responsible for disclosing all allergies, dietary restrictions, and food sensitivities before the order is confirmed.
Drift House makes reasonable efforts to accommodate requests when disclosed in advance. However, food may be prepared in a shared kitchen space where common allergens may be present.
Drift House cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
Customers with severe allergies should use caution before ordering.
24. Issues With an Order
If there is an issue with an order, the customer must contact Drift House within 24 hours of delivery or pickup.
Drift House may, at its discretion, offer a replacement, credit, partial refund, or other resolution.
Refunds will not be issued for issues caused by improper storage, delayed refrigeration, improper reheating, customer handling, inaccurate order information, missed delivery, third-party handling, or failure to follow provided instructions.
25. Customer Agreement
By placing an order, paying a deposit, accepting delivery, or receiving food from Drift House, the customer confirms that they have reviewed and accepted this Order Policy.
The customer understands that Drift House is reserving time, labor, ingredients, packaging, delivery resources, and availability based on the confirmed order.
